Thanks to schools, businesses, community organizations, and families like yours, we recycled approximately 35 million pop tabs last year, and the money from those donations helps pay for our electric bill each month.
Saving pop tabs is easy. Simply remove the tab off your can, save them in a disposable container, and when you have a large amount, drop them off at our House, at 620 S. 38th Ave.
You can drop off pop tabs at our front desk anytime Monday through Friday 8am-6pm
Because pop tabs are smaller and easier to store. The tabs are also paint free and pure aluminum, which increases their value when recycled. So pull your tabs for Ronald McDonald House Omaha, but be sure to recycle the cans.
Yes! Weigh your pop tabs and multiply the total pounds by 1,500 to get the total.

Yes! If you can locate a recycling plant near you, take your tabs there. They will write you a check which you can mail to us at:
Ronald McDonald House Omaha

Not all houses accept pop tabs, so please reach out directly to coordinate with the house closest to you.
PS: Be sure to tell us how many pounds of tabs you’ve donated so we can keep track of your totals!
In 2000, Ronald McDonald House Omaha started the Thanks a Million Club as a way to encourage organizations, businesses, and schools to collect tabs for the House. Those who reach the 1 million mark are given recognition on our website, as well as a certificate of appreciation.
To participate, bring your pop tabs to Ronald McDonald House and fill out a Thanks a Million form for each container of tabs you bring.
